Its that time again…
Midterms… Those awful tests that are just as bad as finals, in my opinion!
Okay, its not all that bad. I’m just stuck in the throes of distaste, studying and trying to cram for my first midterm of the semester. I’m not ready! Actually, I’m probably more ready than I give myself credit for. Thats the wonders of a good professor! I’m really glad for the professor I have for American History this semester. I’m not going to lie, I am not a fan of history. Not so much because I find the subject itself unpleasant, but more that is is always written or explained in such uninteresting ways! Give me a book of good historical fiction or a documentary though, and I am so ready to dig into them. This time around though, this is not the case. This professor is great at keeping class interesting. He cracks jokes, he relates it to modern day issues, and so on and so forth. He’s an easy guy to get along with too, something I can always appreciate.
So what makes a class more enjoyable for you? Do you like it when a professor is more down to earth? Sort of along those lines, what are some of your favorite? I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying American History this time around, but I usually really love classes like Creative Writing, Visual Literacy, and Figure Drawing.
